Canada, 1st marriage to: Albina Labelle, 2nd marriage to: Délima "Délima Rochon \ Lar" Rochon Mederic was a blacksmith by trade. He and his brother Regis were partners in a sawmill in Gracefield PQ. It would seem their business went bankrupt in early 1900-1904 which was quite a stigma back then. Mederic married his first wife, Albina Labelle, April 12, 1899 at the age of 21. they had a son Ernest, born in Gracefield PQ March 7, 1900. Ernest's Godparents were Aime and Exilda Labelle. Albina died sometime between 1900-1901. Mederic then married Délima Rochon in Gracefield PQ. on March 26, 1902. Délima was the widow of François Larcher whom she had married on August 12, 1895 in Gracefield PQ. They had two sons Albert, born 1897 and François born October 9, 1901. François died shortly after his son's birth. Together Mederic and Delima had 7 children. Worked as a logger,hired logging crews & was a jobbeur for many lumber companies Godparents: Michel Ethier and Dina Boulard. It is believed Mederic and Delima had, along with their children Ernest, Albert , .François(Frank) and Aldéric left Gracefield PQ to come to Northern Ontario via Temiskaming and Chapleau around 1904, ultimately settling in River Valley, where the three yongest were born.
